This week Truly Labs is attending the FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations) congress in Prague to learn the latest news within 3R.
The 3R:s, Replacement, Reduction and Refinement, refers to the guiding principles for more ethical use of animals in testing, first described by W.M.S Russell and R.L. Burch in 1959. At Truly Labs we consider 3R’s as a compulsory part of our laboratory in vivo work. Our entire laboratory in vivo work is performed by experienced pharmacology experimentalists and in accordance with Swedish legislations and in conformity with the EU directive 2010/63 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
